October 18th, 2018: Legends & Tales

October 18th, 2018

Autumn is in the air! The leaves are changing and falling, the air has turned cool and crisp and pumpkin spice is in practically anything you could want to eat or drink. We here at the Gold & Steel office have had a busy season and we can’t wait to tell you about it. At present, we are getting ready for the Irish Loop Artisan’s Co-operative’s annual Fall Fair event taking place at the Bay Bulls Regional Lifestyles Centre from November 17th to the 18th and we got something BIG planned for it: Brand new Gold & Steel material!

Folks, take a gander at

Legends & Tales of Gold & Steel, Volume 1.

LegendsAndTales shrunk

Inside this 240+ page book you will find four short stories. First up is Stealing Back Freedom, The City That Hid From Time Itself and In Defence of Our Home Pt. 1, three stories that all saw previous releases through Engen Books’ annual short story collections, ‘From The Rock’. Christopher Walsh decided to combine his three stories into one collection and added with it, for the first time in print, In Defence of Our Home PART 2!

Clocking in at over 100+ pages, the sequel to the story of the Dwarves of Dhalla, a historical event referenced in As Fierce as Steel, has finally been finished and could be yours to read just in time for the upcoming holiday season.

There’s more, though! Those of you waiting for The Worth of Gold are in luck! Chapter one of the long awaited second volume of The Gold & Steel Saga is also included in Legend & Tales Vol. 1! Finally, you’ll get a chance to catch up with Marigold Tullivan and see what she has been up to since As Fierce as Steel.

If you haven’t had the chance to read Walsh’s Gold & Steel short works yet, or want to pick up something new of his to read, Legends & Tales Vol. 1 is the book to get. Your first chance to do so, and likely only chance to do so in 2018 from the author, will be at the ILAC Fall Fair at the Lifestyles Centre in Bay Bulls from November 17th to the 18th.

We hope to see you there!
